The Harbormaster, working with the Marina General Manager, will oversee marina repairs and routine maintenance, assist in promoting the marina to the boating community, and participate in the financial planning and day to day financial management of the marina. This role ensures full compliance with health and safety regulations, monitors marina contractors and suppliers and works with concessionaires, licensees and tenants to ensure they meet their obligations to the customer.
The ideal candidate will have up to eight years of experience in boating/yachting and/or the hospitality sector with a minimum of 3 years in the boating/marina industry. Sound knowledge of marina operations, boat lifting, handling, towing, plant and equipment maintenance. Familiarity with office administration and basic accounting, book-keeping and cash handling procedures. Proven skills in VHF communication, first-aid and fire-fighting procedures as well as strong swimming skills. A valid driver’s license is required.
