Alain has over 25 years of experience in the marina and hospitality industries; developing and managing marinas around the world. He began as a first officer on a 108 ft sailing yacht eventually moving on to manage the Puerto Del Ray Marina and El Conquistador Resort and Country Club in Fajardo, Puerto Rico then the Boca Raton Resort and Club Marina in Florida, where under his leadership, the Resort earned a #1 in the world rating by Robb Report.
For 5 years, Alain served as Director of Marina Operations at the Atlantis Resort Paradise Island in Nassau. His role as Operations Director for Camper& Nicholsons Marinas International Ltd. took Alain to Sanya, China, Grenada, Turkey, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, where the company developed, consulted and set up operations for their worldwide marina clientele. Alain collaborated in the design and development as well as the management of the Faro Blanco Resort and Yacht Club Marina in Marathon Key, Florida.
Throughout his career Alain has been involved in sales and marketing, business planning and development, operations management, finance, property expansion, staff training and development, and has organized and hosted international yachting and boat shows. He has a wide range of experience in client relations and has acted as liaison to captains, crew, charter and yacht brokers, government officials and yacht owners.
Alain oversees the day to day operations of F3 Marina, the Marina Management division of Founders 3, including marina set-up, quality control, hiring and implementation of our procedures and core values with staff. His over 25 years of marina management provides our managed marinas with insight, advice and assistance in strategic planning and operational performance.
